According to a report in the Independent the Spooks wanted Islamic Scholar Zakir Naik to work for the Government "educating" Young British Muslims.
One has to say following the ridiculous decision to ban Naik by Home Secretary Theresa May who has been rather positive towards Muslims LM believes the court proceedings Naik has begun to challenge his ban should prove to be a revealing insight into how the spooks and more generally the establishment work.
Moreover, I'm also actually rather surprised and disappointed that Zakir Naik would even entertain the idea of working for the security services. Currently the Spooks are actively looking for Muslim recruits to do their dirty work for them now that the other spying tool Prevent has been dismantled and my advice to Muslims is to tell them to shove their work where the sun don't shine.
